Vegetarian Recipe - Vegetable Dhokla
Vegetable Dhokla A ) Ingredients: 1) 250 gms Besan 2) Carrot shredded ½ cup 3) ½ cup Cabbage finely cut 4) 1 inch piece of Ginger 5) 2 Green Chilies 6) Salt to taste 7) 1 tea spoon Soda Bicarbonate 8) Luke warm Water to mix the dough 9) Oil to grease the pan 10) Lemon Juice 1 tea spoon B ) Ingredients for Tarka (Garnishing ): 1) 1 table spoon oil 2) Curry leaves 3) Mustard Seeds 4 Green Chilies Method: Mix the Besan, Carrot shredded, Cabbage shredded, Ginger - Chili paste, Salt, Soda by Crab and make it like the dough with luke warm water. Make small roll kind shapes and put in the pan and steam in the cooker without the weight. Or in a covered container with the tight lid for 10 to 15 Mins. Remove the pan and let it cool down for a while and cut Dhoklas in to small pieces. Heat the oil in a pan and let it warm. Add mustard seed, green chilies, curry leaves let it fry and add the pieces of Dhoklas and serve hot with tamarind chutney or mint chutney. . This recipe can be made with other vegetable like bottle gourd etc. |
