Truth of the power of Article Writing on Traffic-building (Part 2)
A day ago I posted an article to see how much traffic could be gotten by sending to a web site only by writing and distributing articles. Just a recap, it was a brand new site on dog training that wasn't indexed in the search engines and didn't have any links to it from any other sites anywhere. There was a 5 day mini-course with the home page of the site being an opt-in form, 5 articles and they were submitted to EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com and ArticleCity.com. On November 8th, one week after submitting the first article, the results were:

0 0 0 On November the 15th, the traffic has grown! See below. While the statistics aren't phenomenal, keep in mind that it's only been just over two weeks and nothing was done to promote at all outside of writing those first five articles. Here are the updated stats as of November 15th:

0 0 0 One week later, there were 3 times as many signups and more than 3 times as many page views. So it certainly seems that article writing can generate some traffic and sign-ups pretty quickly. The only thing that was disappointing was that none of the back-end product was sold.
But to be fair, the email sales pitch sent to the sign-ups after the mini course weren't any good. Things will change a bit now. Just to see if some sales can be generated directly through writing articles. So here's the plan. Now, instead of sending people to an opt-in form, they will be directly sent the sales letter for the back-end product and we'll see if sales can be generated without having people sign-up. Who knows, it might be a lousy mini-course that's preventing people from buying! If it can generate sales from sending people straight to the product sales letter, then there might be a need to rethink the approach and just write articles that direct people to my affiliate sites. |

Interesting statistics... Always looking at ways to generate traffic by employing the less conventional methods. I'm a sucker for word of mouth traffic.
